Single-component water-based paint that can be applied to various types of flat or sloping roofs. Helps to cool industrial, commercial and private buildings.
RD-Roof White maintains its elasticity even in very cold weather, has good resistance to dirt accumulation and is formulated with high quality white pigments. These properties make it particularly suitable as a finish for roofs that need to be reflective.
UV-reflective roofs drastically reduce the surface temperature of the roof and limit heat transfer inside the building. This technique can reduce the temperature inside the building by several degrees and reduce the consumption of air conditioning systems. This technique has been known for many years and is often referred to as Cool Roof.
RD-Roof White is water-based, easy to handle, safe and has no fire risks. It is a fast-drying coating system that greatly reduces downtime during installation and increases on-site labour productivity. Virtually odour free, it does not affect neighbouring occupants and can therefore be used in occupied buildings.

SUBSTRATES:
Bituminous roofing, concrete, after application of a primer such as RD-Elastodeck. On synthetic roofs, such as Trocal, an adhesion test must be done beforehand.

Indicated consumption is theoretical and does not consider potential losses during application. It can also be influenced by the porosity of the substrate.
Application instructions
APPLICATION CONDITIONS:
Ambient temperature: minimum 5°C (41°F) – optimal between 12 and 25°C (54 and 77°F).
Relative humidity: maximum 80 %
Surface temperature must be minimum 3°C (5°F) above dew point.
APPLICATION MEANS:
Brush, roller or airless
Airless: nozzle size 015 to 023 - prressure +/- 180 bars (+/- 2600 psi).
PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE:
The preparation depends on the substrate. The substrate must be clean and degreased before applying the painting system.
1. Clean the surface thoroughly with a high pressure cleaner. The formation of foam or algae can be removed with a suitable defoamer.
2. The surface must be completely clean and dry. In case of sealing problems, please refer to our solutions pages.
WARNING: For all types of substrates, the interior spaces must be provided with sufficient vapour barriers and roof ventilations to prevent condensation from forming under the roof covering.
Sufficient slope to the downpipes must be provided to collect rainwater and avoid standing water.
DILUTION:
Product is ready-for-use.
DRYING TIME (20°C - 68°F):
Touch dry: +/- 3 hours
Recoatable: +/- 6 hours

Mix well before use.
The temperature of flat, sloping or corrugated roofs can be extreme. Under the influence of the sun, the surface temperature during the summer months can reach over 80°C. In case of sudden cooling, precipitation or storms, thermal shocks can damage the roof and the building. On a white covering, this temperature can drop to 35°C. RD-Roof White is a thermal insulator that reflects direct light by more than 80%.
